Brownsville Police Department South Texas Auto Theft Enforcement Task Force conducted an investigation of Catalytic Convertor Thefts. Task Force Officers identified and arrested the following individuals for State Jail Felony Theft of Property and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity: Jose Alberto Ruiz (37), Rogelio Amaya (39), Ermelo Ramirez (35), Noel Nephtali Valdez (40) and Daisy Elaine Avila (33). During the course of the investigation, Task Force Officers were able to recover some property.
