ABOUT THE BROWNSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Brownsville Police Department is Divided into five different Commands with Divisions that perform different tasks to protect and serve the Citizens and Visitors of the City of Brownsville.
Support Services Command
The Support Services Command includes the following divisions:
City Jail - Communications - Records - Fiscal Management - Evidence - Supplies - I.T.
Investigative Services Command
The Investigative Services Command includes the following divisions:
Criminal Investigations - Special Investigations - Crisis Response Team
The Uniform Services Command includes the following divisions:
Patrol - Animal Control - Bike Patrol
The Officers at Training Center are dedicated to the Recruitment and Training of Police Personnel.
The Southmost Community Center houses the Community Relations Unit, the Bicycle Unit, and the Police Security Services.
Public Information Officer
The Public Information Officer receives and relates information to the Media and Public regarding Police activity.
