ARRESTED: Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance (91.5 grams cocaine) Possession of Marijuana

On 06/05/2017 Agents from the Special Investigations Unit proceeded by 1400 block of E. Monroe to conduct a narcotics investigation at that location. Information had been received thru the Crime-Stoppers line that a male subject who resided at that location was in the business of selling illegal narcotics. Upon arrival a male subject identified as Cruz Hernandez, who was in the company of a second male subject proceeded to run. Agents gave chase and finally apprehended Hernandez at the 1300 block of E. Monroe hiding under a house. Hernandez was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. Agents then obtained consent to search for his residence. During the search of the residence agents located an additional amount of cocaine as well as marijuana. Cruz Hernandez was arrested and charged with Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Substance (cocaine 91.5 grams), Possession of Marijuana and Evading Arrest on Foot. The investigation revealed that the second male subject was just visiting. He was identified and released.
