ARRESTED: Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance (cocaine 159.1 grams) Unlawful Possession of


Felipe Botello (41)

On 04/05/2017 K9 Officer conducted a traffic stop on a Red 1999 Ford F150, after a traffic violation was observed. While the Officer was attempting to stop the vehicle, it was noticed that the driver was ignoring the officers who had already activated the lights in order to conduct the traffic stop. The vehicle finally came to a stop at the 4100th block of Southmost. The driver was identified as Felipe Botello Jr. and the officer observed that the driver appeared extremely nervous. Botello was asked for his driver’s license, to which he replied that he did not possessed one. Botello was then placed under arrest for his safety and the safety of others and transported to Brownsville City Jail. Once at city jail and during the booking process Botello was found to be in possession of two baggies of cocaine.

Narcotics Agents then made contact with Botello who was asked for consent to search of his residence located on the 5100 block of Hugo Drive. Botello then gave agents consent to search the residence and during the search, Agents located a large amount of cocaine inside one of the rooms to the house. Agents also located a 9mm handgun. The cocaine which had a weight of 159.1 grams and the handgun were picked up as evidence. Botello is a previously convicted felon and was booked into Brownsville City Jail for the offense of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Substance (cocaine).
