Shot Republic Assault Arrest

Robledo Osvaldo Alvarez was taken into custody by the Brownsville Police Department on September 7, 2021. Mr. Alvarez was the suspect from the fight that occurred at Shot Republic.

The Brownsville Police Department Criminal Investigation Unit started their investigation on this assault as soon as they received a video that was made public on Social Media. The C.I.U. team worked around the clock to effect the arrest of Mr. Alvarez. We wish to thank the community for provide valuable information in reference to this crime.

The Brownsville Police Department in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Task Force were able to locate and take Mr. Alvarez into custody without incident.

Brownsville Police Patrol Division, C.I.U., U.S. Marshals Task Force and the Community worked together to solve and charge Mr. Alvarez for Aggravated Assault (Felony). Mr. Alvarez was arraigned on September 8, 2021, and was issued a bond.
