Public Service Announcement

Chief Sauceda is committed to keeping our community and our staff safe. In response to the National Emergency Declaration, and out of an abundance of caution to limit or reduce the spread of COVID-19 (Corona Virus), the Brownsville Police Department will temporarily adjust how we deliver service.

We value our interactions with the public but recognize that we must do our part to protect the public as well as our staff. To limit face to face interactions, we ask that you make use of our online reporting system for all non-emergency calls. With this in mind, officers dispatched to your location may ask you to speak outside, rather than an enclosed area.

The Brownsville Police Department will also close its Records Department service window until further notice. All services provided through our Records Department will be done online and via US Mail. Our staff will work diligently to respond to your request(s).

It is important to note that the Brownsville Police Department will continue to meet the public safety needs of our community. We are not limiting our services, but merely adjusting how the services are delivered.
