On November 16, 2018, a 21 year old female reported being attacked with a sharp object at a local hotel on the 2300 block of US Highway 77. The victim identified Sherize Sarah Hernandez (22) and Joseph Damian Gracia (21) as suspects involved in the attack. Hernandez and Gracia were both placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The victim received medical attention for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital and was later released. At the time of Hernandez’s and Gracia’s arrest, both subjects were also found to be in possession of narcotics. Hernandez was arrested for additional charges of Possession Of Marijuana Class “B” (1.7 oz), Possession of Xanax Class “A” (18.3 grams), Possession of Cocaine SJF (0.2 grams), and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia Class “C.” Gracia was also charged with Possession of Marijuana Class “B” (0.28 oz), Possession of Xanax Class “A” (19.5 grams), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Class “C.”
