ARRESTED: Theft of Motor Vehicle by Possession

Brownsville Auto Theft Agents arrested two men yesterday 09-24-18 at approximately 03:00pm on the 100 block of Military Hwy. They were identified as Julian Orta Rodriguez and Miguel Angel Moreno Martinez. Agents had received information of several stolen vehicles from the Dallas area that were parked in the parking lot of an apartment complex. A total of seven vehicles were identified as stolen and belonging to the Hertz Corporation. The vehicles were to be transported to Harlingen and while waiting for the wrecker service, the Agents set up surveillance on the other vehicles. Shortly after, two subjects pulled up in an SUV with Mexican license plates. Both subjects were detained and agents found them to be in possession of the stolen vehicle keys. Both were arrested and charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle by Possession.
