ARRESTED: Possession of Marijuana (125.5 lbs)

On 08/22/2017 at approximately 5:20 P.M., Narcotics Agents of the Brownsville Police Department observed three male subjects at the 800th block of Parral St. loading bundles of what appeared to be marijuana onto a White in color Dodge Ram 1500. The vehicle was then observed traveling on Riverside Blvd towards W. 7th St. and then onto W. Elizabeth. Officers then attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued traveling. At the intersection of W. Elizabeth and Palm Blvd. the driver of the White Dodge Ram struck a vehicle traveling on Palm Blvd. and continued to evade and until it suffered a tire blowout in the process. The pursuit ended near Gateway Bridge. All three suspects were arrested and identified as Medina, Lara-Garcia, and Martinez. Martinez and Lara-Garcia were charged with Possession of Marijuana and evading arrest on foot. The driver identified as Medina was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Evading arrest on foot, Evading Arrest on a Motor Vehicle and Accident (Involving Injury). Median also had a pending warrant for theft.
