ARRESTED: Aggravated Assault w/deadly weapon (knife)

On July 08, 2017, Officer responded to a local hospital in reference to a male subject that had shown up with a stab wound to the chest (non-life threatening) and lacerations to his arm. The victim identified the subject that stabbed him as “Karlos Cardona”. Victim advised that he was at a party talking to a girl when the suspect approached him and they began to have a verbal confrontation which ended up in a physical fight and him getting injured. A second victim/witness was also at the hospital and confirmed the sequence of events. Officers responded to the last known address of the suspect and arrested a juvenile who was found to be involved. A warrant was obtained for Cardona and early this morning (081517) at approximately 04:15 am, he walked into the police station and turned himself in. Cardona was charged with Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon.
