On 07/04/2017 a call was received from dispatch of a Grey Dodge Charger loading bundles of marijuana on Parral Street. The vehicle was spotted on Palm Boulevard and followed to Mckintosh St. where a traffic stop was conducted. The vehicle was occupied by four male subjects and a female driver identified as Thalia Martinez. The other occupants of the vehicle were identified as Oscar Casas Serna, Gilberto Velazquez-Hernandez, Jorge Luis Sarmiento-Dominguez. The fifth suspect was identified as a male juvenile. After obtaining consent to search for the vehicle, two bundles of marijuana were located inside the trunk to the vehicle. All five subjects were detained. The male juvenile was transported to the Darrell Hester Juvenile Detention Center where he was ordered to be held. The other four subjects were booked into Brownsville City Jail for the offense of Possession of Marijuana. Case remains under investigation.
