On 06/05/2017 Agents with the Special Investigations Unit conducted a traffic stop on a Gold Lexus on the 9600 block of FM 1732 after observing a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ricardo Narvaez (21) while the passenger was identified as Roy Edward Cantu. A criminal check revealed a warrant from Municipal Court for Narvaez. He was placed under arrest for the Failure to Appear Warrant. During the investigation Cantu attempted to evade the officers present by running away. He was caught shortly thereafter. Once the officers caught up to Cantu, he continued to resist arrest. Cantu was found to be in possession of 6 grams of marijuana, 3.3 grams of cocaine, 3 Oxycodone pills, 9 Hydrocodone pills and 1.5 Xanax Pills. Cantu was placed under arrest and booked in for multiple drug offenses, as well as resisting arrest.
