ARRESTED: Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance

On 04/18/2017 at approximately 3:25 P.M. Agents from the Special Investigations Unit observed a 2005 Green Jeep Grand Cherokee commit several traffic violations on Paredes Line Rd. Agents conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the 2500th Block of Eduardo Avenue. When the vehicle came to a stop, agents observed a heavy set male exit the vehicle in a hurry and walk into a property. The driver was detained and identified as Hugo Arevalo. During the initial contact Arevalo appeared extremely nervous. Further investigation revealed that Arevalo had a block of cocaine (2.6 lbs.) inside the vehicle. Agents then searched the property and located the passenger identified as Emiliano Garza. It was also learned that Garza did not reside at that location. Both Arevalo and Garza were placed under arrest. Agents later proceeded to Garza’s residence which is by the 200 block of South Arroyo in Los Fresnos. At that residence agents located an additional 2.6 lbs. of cocaine. Hugo Arevalo was charged with Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Substance (cocaine) 2.6 lbs. and Emiliano Garza for the offense of Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Substance (cocaine) 5.2 lbs.
