On 03/27/2017 Agents from the Special Investigations Unit proceeded to set up surveillance on the 1800 block Dan in reference to a Crime-Stopper report of a male subject who resided at that location and who was in the business of selling illegal narcotics from the residence. During the course of the investigation agents observed said subject boarding a white pick-up. Agents proceeded to follow said vehicle to the 2400th block of Tulipan where the vehicle came to a stop. Contact was made with the male subject who was identified as Oscar Munoz and Agents advised him of the investigation they were conducting. Munoz was then asked for consent to search his residence. Munoz gave consent and Agents then proceeded to Munoz' residence which is located on Dan St. During the search, agents located approximately 63.1 grams of cocaine inside the property. Munoz was then placed under arrest and transported to Brownsville City Jail, where he was booked in for the charge of Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance (cocaine), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon since Munoz is a convicted felon and claimed ownership of a .22 caliber rifle found inside the residence. The rifle had been reported stolen out of Indianapolis, Indiana, so Munoz was also charged with Theft of a Firearm by Possession.
