Theft of Motor Vehicle Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity

On 1-13-2017, Auto Theft Agents arrested Mario Humberto Tirado and Jesus Esteban Garza for their involvement in multiple thefts of motor vehicles. A third subject identified as Ivan Francisco Fernandez was arrested on 1-9-2017 at approximately 8:30 AM when he attempted to cross a stolen Jeep into Mexico and was stopped by Auto Theft Agents. During the course of this investigation, Ivan and Mario provided a Statement implicating themselves in the thefts. The suspect vehicle, a brown Honda Odyssey van, was located and seized for processing. Mario and Ivan were each charged with 4 counts of theft of motor vehicle and 1 count of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Jesus was charged with 5 counts of theft of motor vehicle and 1 count of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Out of 5 stolen Jeeps, 2 were recovered by Auto Theft Agents. Case remains under investigation.
