Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance (Cocaine 6.94lbs)

On January 4, 2017 at approximately 06:30pm, Narcotics Agent observed two suspicious vehicles to the rear of one of the local motels on the 2200 block of US Hwy 77. As the Agent set up surveillance, he observed and based on his experience the subjects were possibly making a drug transaction. Agent called for further back up and proceeded to investigate. Further investigation revealed that one of the subjects was identified as Lopez-Turrubiates and was in possession of 6.94lbs (3 kilos) of cocaine. The other subjects were properly identified and released. Lopez-Turrubiates claimed ownership and was arrested and charged with Manufacture and Delivery of Controlled Substance.
