Possession of Controlled Substance, Evading arrest on MV, Parole warrant

On 11/10/2016 at approximately 5:51 P.M. Narcotic agents attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the 800 block of Frontage on a beige 2002 Nissan Pathfinder. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Aaron Eduardo Vega then proceeded to flee at a high rate of speed. The vehicle came to a stop on Los Ebanos Rd., where subject proceeded to flee on foot. The subject was eventually apprehended in the alley of 145 Greenway Dr. Vega admitted to agents that the reason that he had fled was that he had an outstanding warrant. Vega gave a statement where he admitted to discarding some narcotics during the vehicle pursuit. Agents later located some Methamphetamine and cocaine close to the area where officers had attempted to conduct the traffic stop. Vega was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (cocaine .2 grams), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine 22.6 grams), Evading arrest on foot, and Evading arrest on a Motor Vehicle. Vega also had an outstanding warrant out of Austin Pardon and Parole Board. Cleared by arrest.
