On 4-26-2018 at 1:12PM, Narcotics Agents obtained a Search Warrant for the residence on the 2000 block of East Taylor Street.  Assistance of the Department’s SWAT Team was requested in serving the Search Warrant due to the history at the location and that of the targets.  The SWAT Team conducted the entry into the location and secured 6 subjects who were found inside.  All 6 subjects (4 males | 2 females) were transported to the police department for further investigation.  Agents interview...

On 4-11-2018, Narcotics Agents arrested Roberto Garza and Jesus Serrata Jr for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Agents stopped a silver Nissan Sentra being operated by Garza.  Garza was known to have a Parole Violation Warrant for his arrest.  Serrata was the passenger inside the vehicle.  The Officers investigation revealed that Serrata had in his possession several baggies of cocaine in the amount of 24.2 grams.  Serrata provided a Statement claiming that Garza gave him the narcotics to hide once he ob...

Brownsville Police Detectives are currently investigating a homicide that left a 53 year old male dead on the 1100 block of Wildrose.  Detectives determined that there was a second crime scene and on the 200 block of E. 10th St. where an altercation took place prior to locating the victim.  Detectives continue to interview witnesses and other possible victims.  The Victim’s named will be release after notification has been given to the next of kin.  Further details will be given as they become available.  Case remains under investigation....
