Theft suspect

Brownsville Police Detectives are looking for the identity of this subject who was involved in a theft at a local grocery store. Subject reached in the cash register and grabbed the money inside and ran out the store. One of the customers attempted to intervene, but the subject took off in a white dodge Avenger. False Report to Peace Officer / Theft Class A misdemeanor

Dalia Jimenez (22) On March 21, 2018, Officers responded to the 2400 block Central Blvd., in reference to an aggravated robbery. Upon arrival contact was made with clerk/complainant Dalia Jimenez. Jimenez informed officers that an unknown male suspect had threatened her with a knife and demanded the money from the register. Shortly thereafter, Investigators reviewed the businesses surveillance and Investigators see as Jimenez hands over the money to an unknown male subject who enters the store without hesitation. Burglary with Intent to Commit a Felony and Robbery (X2)

Victor Araguz-Coronado (24) On March 21, 2018, Victor Araguz Coronado (10/17/93) was arrested for Aggravated Robbery that occurred on the 6400 block of Padre Island Hwy. Subject gave a statement implicating himself to two other robberies that occurred on 03/20/18. Subject also confessed to a Burglary that occurred on 03/19/2018 where he gaining entry into a residence and took a Television and stealing the home owner's 2008 Nissan Altima. Subject was charged with two Robberies (Felony 2) and with Burglary with intent to commit Felony 1.

ARRESTED: Possession of Marijuana (96.1lbs)

Eluid Rosendo Guerrero-Ramirez (31) On 3-19-2018 at approximately 5:39 PM, Narcotics Agents arrested Eluid Rosendo Guerrero-Ramirez for Possession of Marijuana. Guerrero-Ramirez was arrested after a traffic stop was conducted on the 25000 block of North Expressway. Upon making contact, Agents discovered Guerrero-Ramirez did not have a Texas Drivers License nor any type of identification. Agents could smell an odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. Guerrero-Ramirez was arrested for the traffic violations and upon searching the vehicle for inventory, Agents located 2 bundles of marijuana in the cargo area. ARRESTED: Bribery

Antonio Zamorano (25) Brownsville Police Detectives arrested Antonio Zamorano yesterday on the 1000 block of E. Levee on a pending warrant for bribery. Investigation revealed that Zamorano solicited money in return for his final inspection decision. Zamorano was employed with the City of Brownsville as a Building Inspector since January 2016. ARRESTED: Possession of controlled substance (cocaine)

Jesus Correa (41) On 3-​8-2018, Officer conducted a traffic stop on a maroon Chevy Tahoe for traffic violations at the 2700 block of Boca Chica Blvd. Officers made contact with the driver who was identified as Jesus Correa. Officer obtained consent to search of the vehicle . K-9 Agent deployed his partner to perform a sniff of the exterior of the vehicle. K-9 alerted to the engine area of the vehicle. Vehicle was taken to the police where a more thorough search was conducted. Agents located 4 bundles of a white substance in the engine area of the vehicle. The substance tested positive for cocaine. Auto Theft Agents are looking for the identity of this subject who took a stolen maroon 2014 Ford F150 into Mexico. The vehicle was reported stolen on 02/27/2018.
