Person of Interest: Theft case

Brownsville Police are currently looking for this individual. He is a person of interest in a theft of a wallet case that occurred on December 2016 on the 3500 block of W. Alton Gloor. Subject was last seen a white Ford F150 with Mexican license plates. Homicide Investigation

Paola Michael Martinez (18) On January 24, 2017, Paola Michael Martinez (18) was arrested in connection with the death of her 53 year old uncle, Alejandro Perez Ramirez. The victim’s body was found stabbed on the 5400 block of Padre Island Highway where he was pronounced to be deceased. An autopsy is pending. This case remains under investigation.

Possession of Controlled Substance (Xanax) Possession of Marijuana

Ruben Trevino Jr. (19) On 01/18/2017 Agents with the Special Investigations Unit of Brownsville PD proceeded to the 700 block of North Expressway (Local motel) in reference to a narcotic investigation. During the course of the investigation agents made contact with a male subject identified as Ruben Trevino. Trevino was seen pacing back and forth in front of one of the rooms. Trevino was approached and asked for consent to search. Trevino granted officers consent to search and during the search, 10.2 grams of Alprazolam (54 Tablets) along with 13.4 grams of marijuana were located inside the room. Trevino was placed under arrest and transported to Brownsville City Jail, where he was booked

Theft of Motor Vehicle Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity

LtoR: Ivan Francisco Fernandez (26) Jesus Esteban Garza (25) Mario Tirado (27) On 1-13-2017, Auto Theft Agents arrested Mario Humberto Tirado and Jesus Esteban Garza for their involvement in multiple thefts of motor vehicles. A third subject identified as Ivan Francisco Fernandez was arrested on 1-9-2017 at approximately 8:30 AM when he attempted to cross a stolen Jeep into Mexico and was stopped by Auto Theft Agents. During the course of this investigation, Ivan and Mario provided a Statement implicating themselves in the thefts. The suspect vehicle, a brown Honda Odyssey van, was located and seized for processing. Mario and Ivan were each charged with 4 counts of theft of motor vehicle

Unauthorized Reproduction, purchase, use or sale of Temp Tags (X5) Breach of Computer Security (X5)

Deisy Yael Lopez-Becerra (26) Jesus Lopez-Becerra (29) On 1-12-2017 at 9:15 AM, Auto Theft Agents arrested Deisy Yael Lopez-Becerra and Jesus Lopez-Becerra for the offenses of Unauthorized Reproduction of Temporary Tags and Breach of Computer Security. Upon conducting a routine business inspection at Jesse L. Auto Sales located at 2603 East 14th Street in Brownsville, Agents discovered that the business was operating with an expired Motor Vehicle Dealer License. Contact was made with TX DMV who confirmed the expired license. It was also confirmed that the business had produced multiple temporary tags for vehicles that were claimed to be sold even after the license expired. Investigation

Ruben Miranda Juarez (42) On 01/12/17 at approximately 09:30pm, Special Investigation Unit K9 Officer conducted a traffic stop on a blue Dodge Charger for traffic violations. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ruben Miranda Juarez. The front passenger was identified as his spouse. During the traffic stop, both were observed to be very nervous. Verbal consent to search the vehicle was obtained. SIU Narcotics Agents were also called to the scene since Officers believed that contraband may be hidden on the occupants or in the vehicle. Violation of Condition of Bond in a Sexual Assault

Claudia Guerra (30) On January 4, 2017, Claudia Guerra was arrested on a warrant for Violation of conditions of Bond in a Sexual Assault case. Investigators received information that she was in contact with the victim. Guerra was arrested in September 29, 2016 on a charge of Sexual Assault. Guerra was re-arrested on the 900 block of E. Harrison and transported to city jail where she was arraigned this morning on the new charge. Judge Garcia set bond at $250,000 and for her to wear an ankle GPS monitor if she was to make bond. Case remains active.

Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance (Cocaine 6.94lbs)

Nestor Eduardo Lopez-Turrubiates (25) On January 4, 2017 at approximately 06:30pm, Narcotics Agent observed two suspicious vehicles to the rear of one of the local motels on the 2200 block of US Hwy 77. As the Agent set up surveillance, he observed and based on his experience the subjects were possibly making a drug transaction. Agent called for further back up and proceeded to investigate. Further investigation revealed that one of the subjects was identified as Lopez-Turrubiates and was in possession of 6.94lbs (3 kilos) of cocaine.
